Welcome back for Week 2 of the One Room Design Challenge. Or if it’s your first time here…just Welcome!
You can check out last weeks post for Week 1 here.
‘Because you know I’m all about that bass, bout that bass…’
Well maybe more like the base…meaning starting with the base…meaning painting. That’s whats been happening this week. But why don’t I share a few pics of where we’re starting and what my plan is for this room.
You can see one of my test swatches on the wall. Three walls will be white and the 4th wall will be navy. I’ve actually got some of the white walls painted and am loving it.
‘We gon’ take it to a whole nother level’
Don’t ask me why I’m channeling Meghan Trainor…
too many paint fumes!
This nightstand and the black shelf unit will not be in the finished room. I already have the shelf, bedding and wall sconces.
The headboard is ordered and on its way.
This handsome boy is approving all decisions and so far has given me the paws up!
Upcoming DIY Projects For This Room
Stencil Navy Wall
Paint BookShelf in a mid century style
Mid Century Makeover for Closet Doors
Still looking for a ceiling light fixture. I really don’t want a ceiling fan in there but that room gets the afternoon sun and um…real life, I may have to suck it up and go with that. *sigh
So thanks for stopping by and following along…watch my IG stories and check back for Week 3!
